Go Bananas!

Looking for a healthy snack that is satisfying, portable and easy to eat? Eat a banana!

Bananas give you plenty of health benefits. Here are just four reasons why you should eat bananas:

  1. Bananas contain all eight amino acids that our bodies can’t make themselves.
  2. They’re very rich in potassium, which can help prevent high blood pressure.
  3. Bananas can help keep you regular since they contain pectin, a soluble fiber.
  4. Bananas can be eaten directly – but you can also be creative and add them to hot or cold cereals, or dip in dark chocolate for a tasty and nutritious dessert.

P.S: If you have a health condition, or if you are on medication, consult your doctor first.  I know for a fact that people with kidney-related problems must avoid Potassium-rich foods.
