“Welcome to my place, Vidya”
And you know what that means? I feel humbled, honored, excited and feel pretty much how I felt when I was six years old and got my very first ice-cream. That I got hooked to vanilla flavor is a different story. That’s not what you’re going to hear today.
Today, I am Terri Sonoda’s guest. THE accomplished Terri Sonoda who:
- Is ultra-kind, very intelligent, talented
- Is one of my favorite bloggers
- Is a published author
- Visits every post her friends write
- Shares every post her friends write
- Comments on every post her friends write
- Emails me often and makes me feel good
- Taught me how sexy it is to share
- Makes me feel excited about blogging
- Inspires me with her fantastic writing
- Weaves word-magic with ease
- Sketches very well
- Writes superb poetry
- Gave me my first blog award
- Treats everyone generously to her on-going novel Sara’s Sleep every Sunday
- Is never stingy with her praise for others
- Takes the time out to make us laugh with her fantastic posts
- Is my friend. Wow!
That list could really go on and on. Really. But let me just say that Terri is a fantastic person, a writer par excellence and a wonderful human being. Her warmth reaches out to you in a very tangible way.

Besides her amazing blog, Terri writes for examiner.com
And today, I have the privilege of having a guest post up at Terri’s. Did I do justice? You decide.
Please head over to her blog to read “Welcome to my place, Vidya”
Do not be surprised if you find yourself checking out her sidebar and ending up reading previous posts. She’s FUN I say!
A big thanks to Terri for having me over. I eagerly wait for the day when you publish your novel. I just know you’re going to be a best-seller! And I also look forward to the day we meet, in real life!

And, as I wipe the happy tears, please accept my sincere thanks for this amazing tribute AND your taking time to guest post at my place. Our friendship proves you don’t have to meet someone face-to-face to make it real. We are Real Friends.
Love you!
(I guess I wasn’t speechless after all) 🙂

March 14, 2012 at 7:34 pmHi Vidya,
What a wonderful tribute to your friend Terri. She is lucky to have you in her life. I loved how you listed all her qualities, that was fun to read. We need our gal pals in our life for support, sharing and fun. Your haiku was great.

March 15, 2012 at 3:32 amDear Cathy, yes, you’re absolutely right. And thanks so much for your kind words. Terri is everything I listed and more. And gal pals always rock. A friend of mine posted a quote on her blog that goes something like “Women who don’t help other women have a special place in hell” 😀 I totally endorse that!

March 14, 2012 at 8:41 pmWow, this is the best link to a guest post I have ever seen! I’ll go right over to check it out. Meanwhile, on FB issues, I think I have liked your page, but I’m still learning this and I’m not sure I did it correctly. Thanks!

March 15, 2012 at 3:35 amThank you, Galen – wow! what a compliment! I’ll cherish this forever. And I really appreciate your visit over at Terri’s!
Re the social media stuff, the one thing I know for sure is that my enjoyment competes desperately with my time-management. 😀 I just wish all those widget-code thingies would happen automatically/magically. Sigh. I took half a day to figure out how to put the Facebook code here – and later realized all I had to do is just click the words at the bottom of the widget on any blog to reach the apps page and generate my own custom code. Sigh. 😀
