The prompt for Day 18 is the word Famine.
Famine
Cracked earth tiled for miles
thirsts for a drop of water
waits disillusioned.
Hungry eyes, parched lips.
Empty heart yearns. Dreams of an
Affectionate kiss
An absence of love
No kindness or compassion
An unfulfilled life.

Hi Vidya,
I love this haiku! You paint the picture with your words about the devastation a famine an cause. It’s hard to imagine, but we know that life can be so unkind. Thank you for sharing your beautiful poetry.
