I remember the first time I got an email from them in February 2009, to say one of my posts “Why Laughter Is The Best Medicine” had been chosen for their Spicy Saturday picks. Here is what the email said:
“Congratulations! Your post has been selected by BlogAdda as one of the top posts for this week’s ‘Spicy Saturday Picks'”
Hariharakrishnan’s mail to me also said:
BlogAdda has started ‘Tangy Tuesdays’ and ‘Spicy Saturdays’ where BlogAdda picks up good posts from the Indian blogosphere and serves it to the readers on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This way, good posts are acknowledged and readers get to read quality content. This is also an opportunity for everyone to interact even more in fruitful discussions”
And fruitful discussions is right! These guys have forged ahead and built a fantastic community of Indian bloggers, promoting them, encouraging them and bringing them lots of visibility. They’ve started a number of wonderful initiatives for bloggers, some of which are: Notable Newbie, Blogger Interviews, Book Reviews, Tangy Tuesday Picks, Spicy Saturday Picks, Sponsored Reviews, Guest Blogs, Bloggers Social Responsibility, Perky Tweets, Contests and much more.
BlogAdda’s Facebook page is busy and active and so is their Twitter feed via @blogadda
A portion of my bookshelf is filled with books received for review from BlogAdda. And you know what? Nirav Sanghavi, the Founder, adds a signed personal note to each review copy and I really love that.
Here I would like to especially appreciate them for delving deep into my blog to come up with a set of questions they sent me. Took me back to posts I had forgotten I had written. Well, what can I say? I am impressed. Special thanks to Harish for keeping in touch, his timely follow ups and his emails to let me know the Interview was live.
