I am such a weirdo these days – what with the too-much-to-do-and-so-little-time kind of constant situation – ( and I love it) – I amaze myself about the consistency with which I never miss checking email several times a day. Yes, I do it and hold your breath – I even respond (mentally) and reply to most of them. Ok – so I ignore the whiners who ask why I didn’t reply to a joke they sent me – but – uh – that’s another post. I really don’t want to be sarcastic so early in the day. But wait, I digress, as usual.
When I speed-read my emails today, I found I had one from indi blogger, which is pretty much a cool site – and once in a while someone stumbles upon my blog and adds it to his/her network. Gives me a happy feeling – and as they say – reciprocation is certainly a good thing – and being the courteous being that I am, I immediately go check to see the blogger who networked to my blog. The company we keep, you see. So (ok ok – I am getting on with it!) today, ah, today – I went to see who ‘Hammy’ was. You know, the blogger who added my blog to his/her network. 🙂
I am still smiling an hour later – because oh, it was such fun to read. Took me right back to years and years ago, when life wasn’t ‘lol’ or ‘rotfl’ or ‘brb’ or ‘ttyl’ or any of those abbreviated, stingy online thingies you know. I really, really enjoyed reading this guy Hamish Joy’s posts – and I loved the way he rambled on, weaving words. In a world today where ( I just have to say this again) people think The Doors are just something you walk in and out of – and other similar ‘gustaaqui’s, it was very very refreshing to see Hamish Joy’s blog Just to prove it, I have added it to my blogroll/favorite blog list so that, lazy as I am, I can just click through to the latest post. I may be a bit visually (and appear mentally) challenged, but I do have my bright moments.
Hmm… now let’s sum up for the day – life goes on! And I have such a mountain of work to tackle, I think I’d better stop acting intimidated and get on with the maddening thing.
