Think about this: if you spend hours and hours on the internet every day you are more likely to show depressive symptoms, a new study has found. People use the internet for many different things: e-mailing, chatting, banking, finding info, gaming. It has become a part of life.
But when it has become the only social life you have, you may be in trouble. While the big question is whether excessive internet use makes you depressed, or whether depressed people are drawn to the internet, depression is depression, whatever caused it.
If you feel this describes you, take some action. When last did you phone a real friend, go out for a pizza, see a movie? Do it right now. Real life has an edge to it that the virtual world can never quite emulate.
Cheers!

I shifted to Byndoor from Bangalore 8 years ago. I could not socialize much over here and so got drawn to internet. But as you say.. it did not do much good to me. So finally I stepped out and took part time job as a teacher. Since then life has been great.
