…have gone by “socializing” – what with all the browsing, participating in contests, winning some, claiming prizes, reciprocating “likes” and “follows” and making a whole lot of new “friends” in the process. I’ve also been busy managing work somehow, and enjoying writing regular guest posts, along with keeping up with updates on my favorite sites.
On the work front, it was a hectic week – just couldn’t wait for it to be over. However, it was an amazingly huge learning experience for me because I had a glimpse into how forums worked. In fact, the major part of my work last week was to review topics on a wholesalers site. I mean, I had absolutely no idea that it takes 24 x 7 to keep track of a site like that! The effort involved to constantly update listings and make sure that people who visit the site are happy is mind-boggling. I came across topics I had absolutely no idea about – and suspect that I spent a helluva lot more time on the project than I should have – 🙂 what with my insatiable thirst for knowledge!
Sometimes I like to think Google is for me 🙂 Most of us will never get over the thrill of the internet – especially since it gives us this day our daily bread. I’ve also received some interesting writing work offers via my profile on LinkedIn – and that sure feels great. Nothing like feeling valued! Am sure glad that I work as a freelance writer – ten years ago, who would have thought that this is what I’d be doing today?
Life is good. I am grateful to this decade!
