The moment of enlightenment then hit me – it suddenly occurred to me that most of the stuff I was saving for doing later could be something I’d never get around to doing, no matter how well organized. Oh, some people call it procrastination :-D. I suppose I could bequeath my virtual library in my virtual will. Now that’s a thought.
In the meantime, I realized something else. Nothing earth-shattering – but it is very easy to get carried away and get pressurized about doing many things – and that includes blogging. So, I decided I would knock off the frills on this site, keep only the essential stuff and get going with doing what I do best – writing.
I enjoy my work tremendously (yes, you read that in the “about me”, I know) and I am going to focus on posting good stuff here. I’ve knocked off the ratings and ranks and all that extra stuff. :-). I’ve also knocked off most of the widgets that did not make a difference.
I am also working on making proper categories because I learned a smart little trick (see – all that reading never goes waste).
The happiest thing is- I’ve been able to connect with wonderful people and hope to be guest blogging on a regular basis. Ah, that’s such a feel-good moment!
Please stay tuned. I might be irregular (I think). Or not. Because, often, when the unnecessary mental pressure is off, the work is on, with the positive pressure kicking in.
To a shiny new look with less clutter and more value.
Cheers!
Vidya

Vidya,
—you are soooooooo smart
to realize that “less is more.”
I love what you did here & you’re right, it’s about meeting cool, interesting people. (this is the best networking tool we have, isn’t it?)
Looking forward to seeing more. Xx
Breathe—Exhale. Is that better?
Hi Vidya,
Don’t you love simplicity? You feel “lighter” almost immediately.
Yes, absolutely, Kim. Thing is, I know I post good stuff – but I realized I was getting caught up with managing those frills.
Love you for your support.
Precisely, Angela. That’s how I felt. Like I could suddenly smell the flowers and feel the fresh breeze. Thanks for coming over. You know I value your views.
