As Sunday approached, I was juggling with various things β work, home, friendsβ issues, money matters, and health. Although things are looking more transparent now than before, by no means is everything okay. Therefore, I did not go out much except to buy vegetables and other regular staples. Oh, I did venture a bit farther for Vidurβs school books for the new academic year, but not so successfully since not all the books are in stock.
I did not even go out for my usual walk every day because of the health issues and instead, went up to our rather large terrace to keep those tired muscles active. Our condominium is only four floors tall β we live on the second floor and the fourth floor opens to the terrace. Here are some backyard shots, then π

This pic is a crazy one from my mobile phone camera β but I quite liked it

Bird on a wire |
These photos are all from my digital camera. The sky looked divine and I thought it might rain. But it did not

Two birds on a wire |
I never fail to marvel at the sunset. We get a gorgeous view from one side of our terrace and I always get excited about seeing the sunset on one side, while the moon rises on the other
|
Beautiful sky |
Looking closer, and a little lower than the photo above, is a lovely view of these pretty flowers.

Those pretty flowers |
And looking right now (yikes β vertigo!) you can see our open parking lot. There are more flats than the number of closed garages. Weβre lucky to have a closed garage. π But we donβt have a car. Really. Only a scooter which I ride. Isnβt nature lovely? One tree is bare while the others are nice and lush.

View from the terrace β our open parking lot |
This guy, while his parents walked, chatting, kept running around the place and was talking to himself. Β Suddenly, just as he was about to cross, he looked up and I instinctively clicked. Oh I loved his style!

I found this little guy very dude! No idea who he is |
This is just outside our buildingβs gate β the main road β there was a traffic jam thanks to some road rage out of control and people fighting on the side. Click. Thatβs Suryβs back Β weβre seeing marching towards the gate.

Just outside our gate. Traffic jam. Oh yes, I know the guy on the left |
And now, let us travel the world together from Unknown Mamiβs blog. We gotta check the itinerary first, donβt we? Let us go!

The two birds on a wire is a great capture… and I adore the dude, he has such style.
Mollyxxx
That’s one of my favorites from the photos I captured, Molly! Oh yes, that dude was something else. I enjoyed watching him do his own dance, apparently to the music in his head π Thank you for visiting and have a fabulous Sunday!
I love the pictures from your terrace. It’s so nice to get a sense of your space, even if it’s the outside space. Your sky photos were beautiful. And the little boy? I don’t know much about style, but he sure was cute! Thanks, again, for sharing with us. I just love your Sundays! Hugs, my friend.
π Thank you Terri and Hugs to you. Our terrace is a really nice place with some very cool views. Maybe not spectacular – but views where we recognize even the far off structures π That little fella was quite funny you know. It is always such fun watching a kid talk to himself. Am so glad you came by! Love you!
Love the birds on a wire shots! And I agree with Tara and Molly that little dude is cute!
Thank you, Heather! Glad you came by!
Well I adore that beautiful sky photo!!!!!!! Love the birds on the wire, and had to smile at the unknown child pic, hahahaha, you are so cute. Hope your ailments go away fast. (((hugs))) dear friend of mine! π
Thank you, Sheila! Things always get better π That’s my belief! Those birds fascinate me. Sometime this week – when we are on the terrace, I want to photograph them in various positions – on the pipe, on the ledge…you know π Thanks and hugs back to you!
The bird on a wire is a wonderful shot. The pink sky is stunning. The little dude is adorable.
Thank you Tara! You’re a far superior photographer π I was amazed the photo came out that color. Happy you visited!
The Bird on a Wire pics are lovely!
Thanks, SamiJoe! π Heading over to your place now!
The birds on a wire are very cool.
You know, Wayne, I wished I had consistently photographed that wire from the time there were several birds sitting on it. It was interesting to watch them exit one by one. Thank you so much for coming by!
I want to live on your terrace. Seriously. So beautiful.
and the picture with the bird on the wire is ridiculously cool.
Kim! Come over! It is a great place to have a picnic, especially on full-moon day when it is super-bright and beautiful. Those birds are real fun to watch. A couple of kites also come and perch on the pipes and stay there, motionless for hours. Vidur and I often bet – to see who can guess its movement first π (yeah, yeah….) Hugs to you!
Love the bird on the wire pics!!
Some of the cars are covered – do people do this because they aren’t using them for long periods of time or because they are protecting their cars?
Andrew was just telling me about driving in India and how there are no street lines and it’s VERY chaotic! That picture looks exactly how I imagined it…
π Thanks Kaylen! Yes – these are covered because a/ some people care for their cars and have a lot of dust to clean if they are not covered b/ some people cover them when they go out of town. c/ some people cover them probably because they bought a new car π
And yes, again, the traffic is chaotic. A one way road from left to right becomes a one way from right to left the next – they drive you nuts! π We’re used to it!
Enjoyed your terrace today. The bird pic is my favorite, too. The traffic is amazing. Were people really fighting? Like fist fighting?
Thanks, Betsy! π Glad you liked it. I was thrilled when I clicked the photo (there are several of the sky in varying hues).
Oh, the traffic is mad-crazy. That particular day they were just screaming at each other. But fist-fighting is not uncommon. The funny part? The traffic police just stand by (usually digging their ears or nose or picking their teeth) and watch π in a very non-interfering kind of way. All in a day’s work, you know !
The birds on the wire is a very nice photo! I would love a view like that from my house!
Thank you, Michelle! π I chased a kite yesterday, but it just refused to stay put for me to photograph it!
Beautiful sunset!
Get well soon, have a good week!
Thank you BLOGitse – oh, I really loved your tulip art! And am much better now π It seems true that what goes down must bounce back up! You have a great week too!
They are beautiful Vidya, and evoke nostalgia too.
Thank you,Oceangirl! I loved your KL videos π By the way, Jean M Auel’s books are my favorites too π
Beautiful pictures, I love those skies, poetic pictures with the birds. Greetings.
Thank you and greetings, Leovi!
You sure have beautiful views from your terrace. How nice to be able to stay home and still enjoy yourself. Thank you for sharing your pictures!
Yes, Evelyn – I am indeed lucky we can make it to the terrace every single day. Thanks for coming by!
Yes that bird on a wire shot is wonderful. I would love to see that printed on pillow cases.
Ah, that is a great idea. I think I will do it. Thank you, Unknown Mami – I was quite hesitant about posting that first pic – but then, since I loved it, went ahead π
