Fondly referred to as Bapu and the the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi would have been 145 years old today. As we celebrate the 8th day of Navaratri with the Saraswati puja, dedicated to the Goddess of Knowledge, we also celebrate Gandhi Jayanti, which is a national holiday in India.

I hope you enjoyed these inspiring quotes by Mahatma Gandhiji.
Have you read his book – The Story of My Experiments with Truth? (Click the title to read). You can download it here. I first read it when I was in high school and enjoyed it very much.
Did any of these inspiring quotes speak to you? Which one is your favorite? ♥

I particularly liked 14. Incidentally, ‘faultness’ should be ‘faultless’.

One that stood out to me was the one about not knowing the full extent of what your actions will result in, but if you don’t do anything then there will be no results.
A decision you make now could be a life changer two years from now. The snowball effect is in constant play in life. It is an interesting thing to think about. Thanks for the quotes : D.

I love these quotes and this is one great man! The quotes 9 to 12 resonate (well they all do) and the quote “Nobody van hurt me without my permission” is so true-hard to do but so true. The deadly sins is apt for today in this day and age of the Kardasshians and all those housewife shows-it is sad but they oo shall pass like a kidney stone
