Yes, folks, I cleverly said “old staple” – those who know me, know what that is. Temples. You see, my actual plan was to post some fabulous pictures (oh, let me dream!) of Vidur’s school Annual Day which happened yesterday. What with all the running around, ferrying him to and fro and having to run to the bike mechanic in between, AND dithering over what to wear when I was supposed to land up there at 5 pm……I completely (yes, hit me!) forgot to carry my digital camera. Boo hoo! And to think I was all the time dreaming of posting some smashing photos.
I hate myself right now. I arrived there, went backstage to look for Vidur and generally hobnob with the other kids in various states of costume. As my eyes took their fill, my hands rummaged in my xtra-large bag, only to find emptiness where digicam was supposed to be. I had to make do with my phone camera. The photos are not as good as I’d like, but good enough to create a few memories. I got quite a few kids with cute expressions, so ready to pose for me. But now my issue is,I suddenly thought – how can I post these photos without their permission? So. They’ll sit in my memory album now.
Instead, I’ll take you on yet another trip around the beautiful State, Karnataka, where we now live. Of course I have hundreds of photos from various places – I’ve picked some of my favorites. I have a Temple fetish. Fueled further by Vidur, who is busy sketching and writing a book about them. He’s promised to give me credit as the photographer 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this. I love photographing temple architecture. And I am going to be doing a lot of this in the coming year, because Vidur has already warned me suggested that he’s planning at least two or three temple trips. All I know, though, is that it is going to be great fun.
