Like a kid, I’ve been eagerly waiting for this Sunday because I was dying to see what everyone else in this series had posted. Some of the photography is fabulous, like Unknown Mami’sI also saw Thin Spiral Notebook’s pix. Awesome (I know – but I like the word). I can see I am going to have a great time seeing the others. But first let me show y’all mine. Photos via my mobile phone – so don’t expect quality like the others – but what the heck. I love ’em – and I hope you do too. Here we go!

Loved the Tressed for success line!
Loved the Sunday ritual photo!!!!!!!!
Loved the shoes with the deity standing guard!
Love every bit!
that donkey is so cute 🙂
😀 Thanks. Love YOU!
But seriously, I spend a half hour every Sunday scraping off Sh*t off the verandah floor and washing it with soap. I am sure the pigeons approve.
I really like the shot of the tiny shoes and the headless statue. It seems both sweet and sad at the same time.
Thank you for the recognition. That was very nice.
Your Sunday is beautiful full of bright colors and beauty.
Vidya – love the 8 year old’s hair decoration. The lemon lamps (or oranges here) are something the crafters “just” discovered and they are all over the US craft web sites as a “new” thing to do. You have a beautiful altar space.
What an interesting groupof pictures! I liked especially the pictures of the girls and their hair styling.
Thank you, Laurie. The one with the jewel is an 8 yr old girl. The ladies in front are in their forties :-). Wearing flowers, especially jasmine is common.
@Tara – that place is the outside of a little temple right next to the side gate of my son, Vidur’s school. It is a comic sight every morning to see kids taking their shoes off, to pray. :-D. I really like your blog.
@Formerly known as Frau – thank you.
@SUB – yes, it was. I wish I had had my digital camera with me. Suddenly there were so many wandering in our area. 😀 Makes one think, does it not?
I liked your Strange God post, and especially the cartoon.
@ceodraiocht – thank you. 🙂 I had a wonderful time watching that 8-year old – we had gone out yesterday for a music event and she wouldn’t sit still at all for more than a minute. I have several shots of her playing with her camera.
Thank you so much for taking us with you on a tour of your city.
I hope to join in the next Weekend Walkabout
Great pics.
I’d love you to share your pics with me at Walkabout
Hi KB – Thanks for visiting. I’ve added my link to your Walkabout. This is great, isn’t it?
And you, Terry are a darling. I am literally following you around. 😀 I look forward to you joining the Walkabout and the Sundays.
Vidya, thanks to Unknown Mami, each one of us wait eagerly for Sundays..:)
That’s true, May. This is the best holiday I’ve had!
—Vidya,
I LOVE your Sunday :)) That donkey. So sweet. xx
@Kim – Isn’t he? 😀 They are very sweet – they keep trotting around the place.
I love the tressed for success. That would not be me.
@ UM – not so sure. I’ve noticed the lovely locks around the mask!
