I had a wonderful birthday on September 27.
Wishes from my friends, phone calls, Facebook messages – all overwhelmed me. I feel so glad to be alive.
I may be sweet 17 for the third time around, but I am even more conscious that I must now live the best life I can.
Google celebrated its birthday with me 🙂 Google turned 16. And I turned 17. For the third time.
It has been a great weekend – we’re also celebrating Navratri in our apartment building with prayers every day followed by fun events. This is a festival where several houses have a doll display and invite their friends and neighbors over. I am having a lovely time going visiting every day. Yesterday there were special prayers and after this, all the residents got together to sing “happy birthday” to me, along with their kids. My heart is full!
And now I’d like to share the birthday poem Sreeja Praveen wrote for me – I was so thrilled to see it in my email!
Ah ! here comes the wonderful day,
When God showed his angel a new way……
When he smiled upon Mi with so much love,
And gifted her with joy from above 😉
Here’s wishing you loads of joy,
May this life, you always enjoy
With days fun filled, moments bitter-sweet
May the times ahead be always a treat 🙂
May you succeed in all that you try,
May you reach the skies so high,
May happiness dance around you,
How much and when, may you’ve no clue 😀
Here’s wishing you a wonderful day,
A day to wish for and pray
For all good things to come your way,
Wish you a Happy Happy Happy Birthday 🙂
Thank you Sreeja, for your beautiful poem. You know that got me crying!
Yes, life is good! I know I haven’t been posting everyday over the last week – but that hasn’t worried me. I know I’ll get back into the groove. Sometimes life takes priority over everything else.
In other news…
I’ve got a post up at the Blogging Betties today – titled “Serious about Blogging? Stop doing this!” Please let me know what you think!
Did you know today’s World Coffee Day and also World Heart Day? I am celebrating both today..and will post about these during this week! I am trying to get back to my regular routine.
♥
What was the most exciting thing you did last week?
Linking up with Stirrup Queens for MicroblogMondays! Today, Mel asks: Where would you want to virtually go? I’d make a map and mark all the locations my friends live in – and visit each one. How wonderful would that be!

Thank you Pro! I can see I am in good company. South Indian Actor Nagesh shares his birthday with me, too. 😀

You share your birthday with Nagesh. he is one of my favorite directors. very sensitive and intelligent person.
Nagesh – the comedian par excellence, Koyel. He was active until he passed away – and what a delight he was! 🙂

Happy birthday once again Vidya. Glad it was a happy one. I like your concept of ‘being 17 for the third time’ :-). But then that just is so ‘you’.
