Day 28 of the haiku challenge and the prompt is “Write a Haiku, or Naisaiku, Villanelle or any form of Poetry as you wish for the Theme or Word – ‘Your Blog Name’. So let’s hear it for Going A-Musing!
In 2003, when Google acquired Blogger, I started Going A-Musing as “google-n-i-share-a-birthday.blogspot.com” (yes, really). Truth. Google and I do share a birthday – Sept 27.
Haiku
Going A-Musing
My space on the world wide web
Welcomes you dear friend
Initially, I had fun writing anything that came to mind. (I still do!). But over the years, I became a little more focused (read: wrote in sentence case, used punctuation…kidding!).
I browsed around, made friends, and had the privilege of reading the wonderful words on other blogs, I continued to write, sharing Life. Fun. Humor. Love. Trials. Errors. Relationships. Health. Tips. Resources. Technology. Experiences. Stories. Inspiration. Because variety is the spice of life.
Naisaiku
Going A-Musing
Web space where I live, learn, share
With friends old and new
WEB SPACE WHERE I LIVE, LEARN, SHARE
With friends old and new
Web space where I live, learn, share
Going A-Musing
I added new pages and An E-Library listing useful resources. An About Me page. I played with widgets. I played with codes. I played with my dashboard. I figured out, through trial and error, various how-to-s and how-not-to-s. I had arguments with my inner critic. I learned it was not necessary to be perfect. I realized happiness is a D.I.Y Project.
I made friends. Close friends. Loyal friends. Deep connections.
In June 2011, I moved the blog to its own domain and simply called it www.vidyasury.com. I still have miles to go before I sleep – but I like to keep it simple around here. Writing is what I am really interested in, as it brings me joy to share what I read, learn, and enjoy.
I live, I learn, I share. I cherish the relationships I build. I believe in the power of positive thinking.
Limerick (my favorite form)
My blog is my virtual home
No matter where I roam
I return here every time
To reason and rhyme
My space, my joy, “my Om”
Written for The Haiku Challenge 2012 – Day 28 – February 28th – Theme or Word: YOUR BLOG NAME FORM: Haiku + Form of your Wish

Your blog has a nice “Om-y” feel about it. Thanks for the welcome!
Magical and Mystical
Aww, thank you so much, MMT. Always welcome here, and you know it!
I enjoyed your journey and you are skillful in other forms as well. I too am a late bloomer in blogging but I learned it quickly because I am interested and it is a good creative exercise.
Thanks for your visits and comments in my blog~
Dear Grace, you’re absolutely right about the creative exercise. And with interesting prompts – even more exciting. It has been a delight to read your blog through this month and am glad we connected!
Hi Vidya,
Very nice! I love them all but this last one speaks to me:
My blog is my virtual home
No matter where I roam…
Dear Cathy, Thank you so much for your support through this challenge! I appreciate your comment!
I believe that writing helps us get to know ourself better. Sometimes I don’t know what I think until I write about it.
Perfectly said, Unknown Mami. I feel exactly that way sometimes. One moment blank mind…and the moment my fingers are poised on the keyboard, the words flow. Never at a loss, that’s for sure 😀 Thank you for your support!
I didn’t know we shared a birthday with Google! :)You’ve created so much beauty with your blog. I agree that it’s very much a journey of self-discovery. I’m finally learning how to express my true self. Basically being an accountant most of my life, I never would have thought I would love expressing myself through writing.I’m so happy to have met you through our blogs. Technology can be a wonderful thing!
Dear Paige…you know what they say about great people! 😀 You are a great writer and your style appeals to me very much. Clear, simple and just perfect for absorption. I am glad we met, too. What a wonderful connection! Thank you, Paige!
Vidya – I’m looking forward to exploring more of your blog – you have filled your webspace with so many riches – keep up the good work and long may we continue to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing it with us 🙂
Thank you, Sonsylass. It has been a pleasure to connect – and I really appreciate your kind words!
Soooooo Glad there is a Going-A-Musing! It’s a wonderful place to visit! Love you, my friend! XOXOs
Dearest-est Terri – Going A-Musing is wonderful only because of lovely friends such as yourself. I am so glad you come by regularly. I love you too, dearest Terri!
Vidya — I am SOOOOO glad we did not have to do a limerick for the challenge … acrostics and limericks re not my forte — I admire those who have the knack for them … interesting to read more about you!! Thank you for sharing.
Here is my Day 28.
Dear Becca, somehow I am convinced you’d do a great job of whatever you attempted! Limericks are my all-time favorite, what with a family that does on-the-spot verse based on the situation! Thank you for being a regular “commenter” and I do hope we’ll continue to be in touch!
I love how you are going so strong in the challenge!
I could never be a part of something so creative I feel! Sorry, for not having come by regularly! 🙂
Hi Hajra! I am glad you came by! I wasn’t really sure I’d stick with it to the end – not from lack of creativity but because of other priorities. Still, I am thrilled at the way it went. You know I enjoy your writing! Do keep in touch!
I love these tributes to your blog! You have such a great space here. It deserves to be honored!
Thank you dearest Emily! Your blog is one of my biggest inspirations! I admire your writing so much!
You deserve a giant cupcake for this.
Not because you stuck with it…
Because you are brilliant with this.
Brilliant.
xoox
Ah, Kimberly, I’d love that giant cupcake right no. Thank you so much! Do you have any idea how encouraging you’ve been? I am ever grateful. Ooh, your words are “Oasis” music in my ears!
Vidya,
I thank you for the blessings you send out into the universe….
I feel your warmth All the way to little ol’ Duluth, MN!!!
Luv Ya. Xxx
Dearest Kim, I cherish your comments always because I feel the love in my heart even though so many thousands of miles separate us. What would I do without friends like you? Thank God I don’t have to find that answer! Hugs and love you so much!
So beautiful! I love your virtual home, thank you for sharing your “om”:)
Thank you, Joy! The people we know make life worth living. And having you in my world is truly a blessing!
glad I’m a follower of your words when it was google-n-i-share-a-birthday.blogspot.com. I love your haiku, Naisaiku and limerick a lot Vidya..
I too am glad we’ve known each other years, Saravana! It has been a wonderful journey!
