Oola for Women Book blurb
Oola is the phenomenon of creating a personal state of awesomeness that is taking the world by storm! Learn all about The 7 F’s of Oola.
If you haven’t heard of the ‘Oola phenomenon’ yet, it’s time to catch up. First, though, you need to understand what it is: Oola is that state of awesomeness you experience when your life is balanced and growing in all the key areas of health and well-being. It can be a noun or a verb. It can be a destination or a feeling. It can be as complex as a life growing and balanced in fitness, finance, family, field, faith, friends, and fun (the 7 F’s of Oola), or as simple as a sunset, a quiet book on the beach, or a special moment with a child. It is that place we all shoot for in life. That feeling we experience and that we celebrate in our successes along the way. In short, Oola is cool.
Since the first copy of the original book, Oola: Find balance in an Unbalanced World, rolled off the presses a few years ago, the Oola Lifestyle has become a literal phenomenon—a dynamic movement. OolaPalooza live events have been routinely sold out since the day they were started, and the Oola message has been taken to countless cities across America and to every major city in the world via 700,000+ Oola fans on social media. In their 1970s VW Surf bus, authors Troy Amdahl and Dave Braun have taken their OolaDream tour on the road, from coast-to-coast, collecting dreams and goals for a balanced life from people who adorn their vehicle with colorful Oola stickers.
The OolaGuys know that women are the ultimate multitaskers. While a circus performer might spin seven plates in a single show, women spin seven plates—figuratively—every day. They not only juggle kids, family, and home life, they also juggle work responsibilities, customers and clients, make constant business decisions, handle professional events and so many related activities that it’s truly mind-boggling how much a woman can pack into a 24-hour day. In this Oola especially for them, the book shows, through the experiences of 54 inspiring women, how to overcome unexpected hardships, and transform the juggling act of everyday life into a dream lifestyle of simplicity, tranquility, abundance, and opportunity. That’s what ‘living Oola’ means—and it’s not only an attainable goal, but a well-deserved reward.
My review of Oola for Women
oo-la (noun): That state of awesomeness. It is when your life is balanced and growing in the seven key areas of life – the 7 F’s of Oola.
Oola is seeking balance in an unbalanced world—something we all crave for. Throughout our lives, we are constantly on the lookout for that perfect feeling of balance as we juggle various responsibilities.
I see this book as more of a movement than a book, an honor and a tribute to women by the authors.
Ooh la la … is that euphoria we feel when something wonderful happens and makes us happy as we look forward to what the world has in store. That feeling when you land the job of your dreams, buy that perfect house, hear your baby laugh for the first time, watch your kids’ achievements, pay off your loans, a sense of enchantment when you visit your favorite destination…
Oola is “living life firing on all cylinders—joyful, wholehearted, and ready to take advantage whenever good times and opportunities appear.”
Oola is about simplicity, balance and focus.
There are seven F’s of Oola. To create a balanced life that’s extraordinary and linked to your unique purpose and future goals—there are seven areas to focus on:
- Fitness
- Finance
- Family
- Field (career)
- Faith
- Friends
- Fun
Oola is about tackling these seven areas to create a vibrant but manageable lifestyle that supports your goals and helps you live your best and highest purpose.
The book, Oola for Women helps women do what it is necessary to feel good, look good and have enough energy to pursue the OolaLife.
- No more experimenting with diet programs and yo-yo dieting.
- Forget about what the rest of the world believes about money and investing; instead, simplify your life taking control of your finances.
- Nurture the loving relationships and establish proper boundaries around the toxic ones
- Find your dream job
- Discover true purpose in life
- Build a support structure of friends who love you unconditionally and support you
- Have fun—take mini-breaks, check off items from your bucketlist
And in short… live the Oola lifestyle.
In the process, of course there will be Oola blockers that stand in the way of your dreams (fear, guilt, anger, self-sabotage, laziness, envy, lack of focus)and Oola accelerators (gratitude, love, discipline, integrity, passion, humility, wisdom) that will get you to your Oolalife faster. The book will help identify these, show you how to crush the blockers and leverage the accelerators through a three-step plan.
- Oola Wheel: Where are you today
- Oola Plan: Where do you want to go?
- Oola Path: How are you going to get there.
As you get closer to your Oolalife, the book keeps you motivated with inspiring stories of ordinary women who are doing extraordinary things.
To summarize, Oola for Women is all about how to go from where you are right now to where you want to be. Oola is the success formula for a stress-free, inspired life.
Imagine if women can step into their power and enjoy their lives more.

I’m so glad to know about Oola. Life is a constant quest for balance, it seems, especially for women. Thanks for today’s inspiration!
Let me pick my favourite …” Nurture the loving relationships…” and to establish a proper boundary around the toxic one. It reminds me the post you had done earlier abt the Tibetan monk and two words- concentrating on what is!!
I don’t know this book at all but it is another one that expresses what we all need to attain and I can relate to some hindrances but also to some positives that I am actually doing. Glad you spoke about this book and I shall look for it.
I honestly believe a lot of young men, especially raised without a father, would benefit from much of this. ~nods~ Namaste, my dear.
I have honestly never heard of this concept till now and its sounds so fantastic. Thanks for sharing this Vidya- book marking it for further work on it 🙂
